Moun10Bike
As you may have noticed, we restructured the layout of the forums today to make things a bit more intuitive and combine redundant sections. Here is a summary of these changes: Addition of a "How Do I...?" forum below the "Getting Started" forum. This is the place to ask questions of your fellow cachers about how to accomplish various tasks on the web site, in the Groundspeak apps, or in geocaching in general. It replaces the "Community Q&A" section, which had a redundant layout to the "Discussions with Groundspeak" section that led to confusion. The "Off Topic", "CITO", and "ClayJar's Geocaching Chat" forums have been moved to the "Related Topics" section from the "General Geocaching Discussions" section. The "Discussions with Groundspeak" section has been renamed to "Bug Reports". Feature requests and discussions are now in a new forum entitled "Feature Discussions and Suggestions" in the "General Geocaching Discussions" section. The "Geocaching Hitchhikers" section has been renamed to "Trackables". "GPS Related Topics" has been renamed to "Related Topics". A new forum has been created under "Related Topics" named "Geocaching Live-Enabled Applications." This forum is for discussion of the various partner apps that utilize the API. The "Geocaching Adventures" section has been dissolved and the threads moved into the "Geocaching Topics" forum. The "National Map Corps" forum has been made read-only and moved to the "Read-Only Archives" section. Quote Link to comment

+msrubble
What happened to "The Hunt - The Unusual"? Is it merged into Geocaching Topics? Quote Link to comment

Pup Patrol
[*]The "Discussions with Groundspeak" section has been renamed to "Bug Reports". Feature requests and discussions are now in a new forum entitled "Feature Discussions and Suggestions" in the "General Geocaching Discussions" section. Will there be sorting and moving of "feature" threads to the new forum? (They seem to be residing in the new "Bug Reports" forum at this moment.) Quote Link to comment
Moun10Bike
Yes, but that will take a liitle while - it's a manual process to selectively move those threads. Quote Link to comment
knowschad
What happened to "The Hunt - The Unusual"? Is it merged into Geocaching Topics? Yes; that was part of the "Geocaching Adventures" section. Good move. I never could figure out why that forum was so far removed from the main Geocaching Topics forum. Quote Link to comment

The way it was before, it was really confusing as to what each was for. This is much more clear. Quote Link to comment
+paleolith
All sounds like good moves at first glance. I'd still be interested in hearing a bit more of the reasons. Edward Quote Link to comment
