How about allowing a topic starter to lock the thread once the question has been answered? This would relieve some of the burden from the admins who have recently been chasing down multiple threads in order to lock them quickly after the question has been answered. umc
I think I answered this somewhere else. The problem I see with that is going to be the person that didn't get a chance to answer so they are going to start a new thread so they can do so. What happens with that is even more useless threads then we've been seeing as of late because of threads being locked. __________________________ Caching without a clue.... Link to comment
+Mopar
I also answered this recently. Unless something has been changed, the topic starter CAN lock the thread, within 24hrs of starting it. "(Mopar is) good to have around and kick. Like an ugly puppy" - Jeremy Link to comment
umc
ok, just tested the theory over in the getting started thread. You can click on the 'edit' button for that post (the first one) then click on 'options' on the left of that pane and then there will be a 'close topic' check box. The theory is true!! __________________________ Caching without a clue.... Link to comment
