+akkatracker
Hi I am making a very evil puzzle cache and want to make a final worth looking for. Any suggestions for a durable, fun to find, cache. Quote Link to comment

+niraD
Where are you hiding it? No one can say what the best container would be without knowing where you're hiding it. Quote Link to comment

+Bear and Ragged
Ammo can Big or Small? Yes. Always nice to find a larger cache. Quote Link to comment

I have a few locations suitable for any container I always appreciate it when, after solving a difficult puzzle, the cache location and/or the container relates to the theme of the puzzle. That can be hard to do with some puzzles but it's nice when it happens. Quote Link to comment

It doesn't always have to be the exterior of the container, either. I have seen some elaborate interiors that added much fun to the find. Another LPC in a park, not so much. Quote Link to comment

+L0ne.R
If you can't find an ammo can then I recommend a Lock and Lock. The authentic Lock and Lock brand not dollar store knock-offs and not other brands with latching tabs. Authentic Lock and Lock TM has a proven record for staying watertight outdoors. The tabs stay on for years where other brands are not watertight, or may initially be water tight but lose their tabs within weeks of use. Look for the raised logo on the lid and bottom of the container Quote Link to comment
+CanadianRockies
It might be nice to create a "field puzzle" as your final. For example, several of our caches are homemade birdhouses or simple wooden boxes. They are easy to spot. The trick is figuring out how to access the Lock & Lock containers inside them. Alvar Hanso
I have a nice 5 gallon bucket that is hidden right in front of your nose for the ending of a difficult puzzle. You can't go wrong with ammo cans though. Ammo cans are the best container a person can use in my opinion. Quote Link to comment
