+BigBirdNL Posted June 24, 2003 Posted June 24, 2003 When you add geocaching.com to your Favorites (IE 6), is shows the geocaching logo in front of the description (in stead of the IE logo). How is this done? I cannot find the coding when viewing the source... BigBird -- there is no spoon -- CacheMaps homepage: CacheMaps
+Team D.A.R.K. Posted June 24, 2003 Posted June 24, 2003 Do a search at Google for "favicon.ico" or just go to www.favicon.com
+BigBirdNL Posted June 25, 2003 Author Posted June 25, 2003 Thanks. This would be impossible to find if you don't know what to search for. BigBird -- there is no spoon -- CacheMaps homepage: CacheMaps
Vacman Posted June 25, 2003 Posted June 25, 2003 The only problem is if you run.. say... HistoryKill - it will delete all of your temp IE files after you close IE.... so your little fav icon goes away... but it also deletes all traces of where you were - keeps those pesky cookies from serving their purpose. -------------------------------------------------- "If you ever go temporarily insane, don't shoot somebody, like a lot of people do. +Lil Devil Posted June 25, 2003 Posted June 25, 2003 This little program will make your fav icons permanent so you can delete your temp files without losing the icons. Lil Devil
Vacman Posted June 26, 2003 Posted June 26, 2003 Yeah, but I have to pay to D/L a proggy that hasn't been updated since Feb. 2000? Nah, will survive with out it. Update - I found it elsewhere on the Net - It doesn't work for 1 or 2 reasons. 1. I am running IE6...? 2. I am running HistoryKill...? Maybe both.... thanks anyways. -------------------------------------------------- "If you ever go temporarily insane, don't shoot somebody, like a lot of people do.
