+SD Rowdies
Interesting ... I checked my own caches and found that I have a dozen hides in this category; that is, one or more years without a visit. GC115M6, GC1T1PC, GC1F1Q2, GC1F1PG, GC115MQ, GC115MF, GC12QRE, GC10ZER, GC23BW8, GC23BWB, GCC2A6, and GC26AHD. As expected each and every one of my lonely-dozen hides were placed in remote locations and, for the most part, were being placed when new areas were being opened up by a small number of adventuresome, well-known Geocachers. On the other hand some of my most-remote hides have been found during the past year but, for the most part, each was found by pretty-much the very same hardy Geocachers. Comes down to long, rugged, steep hikes with grand opportunities for photographing snakes and meeting four-legged wild critters and illegals and starting from some not so ideal parking spots. You know, what some might call stoopid-Geocaching. Harmon SD Rowdies Edited July 11, 2011 by SD Rowdies Quote Link to comment
+Team Adelos
I have several but I dont know if you want to count puzzles. My oldest traditional not visited is Jamul Mountain (http://coord.info/GC11VV7) which Jahoadi and John did maintenance back in April 2011 (Thanks again John). It has not had a new find since 13 October 2008. I have queries that cover all caches 25 miles from El Cajon, CA. I will check my database for oldest caches not found and post a list here. You need to tighten up on John before it's too late ... give him too much slack and he'll go feral on y'. +kwvers!
It has been 5 years since someone has found our first puzzle: Nine Patch GC10VXX on 6/23/2017. Seems that Puzzle caches no longer have checkers for the convenience of those wanting to find puzzles. the answer to the puzzle is N 32° 39.049 W 117° 02.266 Edited June 23, 2017 by kwvers!
