Buying a Micro-cache?

I am wanting to hide my very first Cache / Microcache.

Where / who / how should I buy this and should I buy this / these in multiples to hide more as I progress?

I do recommend you take note of Groundspeaks suggestion of finding at least 20 caches, before you hide your own cache...

 

And. Does it have to be a micro?

You can buy one at WalMart or any place that sells camping supplies. They are called waterproof matcboxes and are usually less than a dollar.

 

 

More often they are orange and a little camo duct tape or plastic spraypaint can help make them less visibile.

Welcome to the fun! Waterproof matchboxes like above are great, also soda bottle preforms (picture below) are very good, they're what 2 liter soda bottles are before they are blown out and filled.

Make sure whatever you use is very water resistant. The match containers mentioned above have an o-ring to seal them up well.
