+Warturtle
Is it just me, or did the update (or whatever that maintenance was) change the default map on cache pages to mapquest? Quote Link to comment
knowschad
Is it just me, or did the update (or whatever that maintenance was) change the default map on cache pages to mapquest? Just you. The rest of us still have Google maps. Yeah, it changed. Quote Link to comment
+GeoGeeBee
Oops. "Cache page," not "search with maps" page. Yeah, it's changed. Strangely enough, only the small thumbnail map at the top of the page has changed. The larger map, just above the logs, is still Google maps. Edited June 9, 2011 by GeoGeeBee Quote Link to comment

knowschad
Think it was on purpose? Yes. It had to be on purpose. Why does anyone use that map, anyway? I've always considered it a waste of screen real-estate. Does it have some useful functionality that I have somehow missed? Quote Link to comment

Mostly useful for cache pages that you open not from a map or any other known location, e.g. following links posted here. I do consider it not overly important though, and I'd rather see it go completely than have a non-loading thing sitting there. Edited June 9, 2011 by dfx Quote Link to comment
+A & J Tooling
When I click on a cache for new ones hidden in my area, that map usually loads before anything else and I can decide if it is near me and worth the effort or just hit the back button 'cause it is too far away. That is the only reason I look at it. Quote Link to comment
+Semper Questio
That new map doesn't ever load for me in Chrome 12.0.742.91 under Win 7. Quote Link to comment
