Challenge caches

I went to a local event tonight and was listening to a bunch of folks with atleast 1000 finds tell all sorts of caching stories. Eventually, they started talking about the different challenges they were working on, or thinking about trying. Quite a few sounded interesting, but I wanted to read more about them. How do I find the cache pages.

 

a few were 100 ammo can finds, 366 days , 100 days in a row, etc.

 

how do I search for them?

I posted the same topic in my local forum and asked people to list the ones they knew about. There were a few surprises.

Then look at other bookmark lists that those caches are on.

chances are, if you find one or two of them...someone has a bookmark for them. We have at least 3 folks (including me) who maintain bookmark lists for Washington State challenges.

 

BTW. Just because a cache has the word challenge in it, does not mean its a "challenge cache", at least the way I define them.

I looked at the list of bookmarks on a local challenge cache.

You can also search for caches by keyword 'challenge' and it returns alot. You can then drill down until you find the ones in your state. GOFnB's link is by far the most comprehensive bookmark for America. I keep an active bookmark for all challenge caches in Texas.

Some of the ones listed in the OP are personal challenges people set for themselves. Like people wanting to achieve 1 find a day for the whole year. Or they want to set a personal record of finding a certain number of caches in a day.
