That's so cool. I didn't know you could query via GC number inthe URL. I've been wasting typing and processing time going tot he "Find/Hide" page and searching for a Waypoint. Now I can just edit my URL w/ the GC I've got in my list or on my mapping application. Cool! (I was late to the party-if this has been active for a year or so, just smile and igore meicon_wink.gif)

UPDATE: I just created a script that contains the URL then adds the GC variable so I can click my waypoints on my map and pull the cache page up in explorer. Oh, this is great! Wuhoo!

It looks like this is an artifact of a feature under development as it's not consistently supported throughout the various pages.

If you look at nearest_cache.asp, for example, you'll see that the linky links use the traditional ID= tags while the URL tags returned by the download form on that same page use the wp= markup.

Just roaming around, cache_details.aspx is the only one I can find that supports wp=. I poked at cache_logfind.aspx and redir.aspx and they don't seem to support it.

Man, now if I could only get this form:

http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?pf=y&wp=GC33A7

to work on my phone's browser. It works fine in a normal browser but I get an empty page error from my phone. If this worked, I could save my step of generating my own html pages with gpx2html so that I can open pages by waypoint on my phone.
