WaterRitual
Greetings Hopefully, you will see many more messages from me. I have an eye on the Garmin Oregon 550T. This is not a cheap unit, but seems extremely user-friendly. If anyone has as sggestion for a less expensive model (Garmin Oregon + map + memory ~=800$ US). I'm glad to post here and hopefully will make some hikes in the future (I'm just outside the capital of New York - Albsny) Thanks for your concern - Bob Quote Link to comment
+ventura_kids
Nice choice. I chose the garmin 62. They are both near the top of the line for geocaching. Quote Link to comment
+StarBrand
There are a number of high quality free maps for the Garmin units. See gpsfiledepot.com. 4GB memory shouldn't cost more than $10 at most. I'd personally buy something more like the low end of the 62 series myself. Quote Link to comment
