+SceneryGuy
Looks to me like they fixed it. This is the first time I have been able to get to the regular Public Profile since they changed the Forums format. Up until now, I would get a page full of data. Elias
quote:Originally posted by BrownMule:Well all I get is the old " page cannot be displayed". Weird. That should never be the case. You should get either a forum-generated profile or the geocaching.com profile. But you should never have received a "page cannot be displayed" message. Elias Link to comment
+Team Shibby
You are not alone... I cannot view them either. I get the infamous "Page Cannot Be Displayed". I am logged in, bit I'll try to log out and back in to see if it changes things.... I was able to view them the first day the announcement was made that it had been corrected, but not at all since. P.S. I get logged in automatically from the Geocaching home page, so I never log out or back in, but I have not been able to view the profiles for days Kar Link to comment

+Markwell
I think I might have an idea... Make sure that you're not "shift clicking" by trying to open the page in a new window. There's a little Java menu that pops up first and gives you a few options. Click on my name and you get the menu that allows you to get to the public profile. Shift-Click on my name and you get the "Page Cannot Be Displayed" page. Markwell Chicago Geocaching Link to comment

I make web applications for a living, so I'm very familiar with 500. Blame the geocaching web site. If you can duplicate the steps that lead to the error, starting from when you log on (log out first if you need to), then send these steps to Groundspeak, it'll help. <timpaula> Link to comment
Elias
BrownMule - Can you give me a username you're clicking on that is causing this error? I suspect there's some funny data in their profile that is causing this. Elias Link to comment

When you put your mouse over the "View BrownMule's Public Profile" link, do you see a similar URL? Elias I get the same dropdown but the URL it is directed to is different.
