+batsgonemad and his squirrel
Seen this and wondered how long it would be before we go caching like this, personally i think its a great way to go caching. Any thoughts on it http://www.gizmag.com/zeal-recon-transcend...-goggles/16605/ Quote Link to comment
+Carbon Hunter
Was listening to the review on Podcacher - certainly sounds like the future. although - we have been talking about windscreen displays for motor cars for many years - and they still aren't here in great numbers? +batsgonemad and his squirrel
I agree, but i think putting it inside a pair of goggles is easier, and really do able given the technology already out there in the garmin units, how much more difficult can it be Quote Link to comment
+Carbon Hunter
i heard a few weeks back on Podcacher podcast about a set of GPS gloves - mainly used in skiing - I thing the goggles/sunglasses idea is far cooler. Quote Link to comment
+Hesamati
Coincidentally saw this in the Nov Popular Mechanics... Yes, there's a compass in the heel! A 1966 invention. See the benefit of the goggles on a skiing slope where you actually need "turn-by-turn" navigation, but imagining them on a sweaty hike on the Helderberg I think they're going the same way as the Wayfinders...
