+paul6921
is there any way you can adjust the sensitivity of the touch screen? you have to press so hard on it to work especially with a cover on it. i'm afraid in time it might break the screen especially when it turns cold. any body ever break a touch screen? thanks in advance. My 450 isn't like that at all, even though I've got a screen protector on it. If it is hard to get yours to register a press, even with the screen cover off, you might consider returning or returning for repair since that just doesn't sound normal. Quote Link to comment
+dfx
agreed, touchscreen very easy to use even with screen protectors on 450 and 550 here. Quote Link to comment
gcerullo
You can calibrate your screen using Setup>Display>Press to Begin Screen Calibration, and follow the instructions. If this doesn't help then you either have a defective unit or the screen protector is having a negative affect on the screen sensitivity. Edited September 29, 2010 by gcerullo Quote Link to comment
+Redwoods Mtn Biker
If you use a touchscreen smartphone, you may be used to capacitive touchscreens. GPS receivers generally use resistive touch screens, and while they require pressure to operate, it should be minimal. Quote Link to comment
