+The Klever Boys
Peterborough here, but know St Neots area fairly well. There are also lots of cachers in your local area (including Huntingdon), but not too many come on here.. Quote Link to comment
+The George's
Hi just had a week camping in little staughton and was wondering if there is anywhere nearby that you can hire a small boat from. Just wanted to take the kids on the river for an hour. I'm back in Kent now but will be back up in September. So if you can help it would be great. Cheers Phil Quote Link to comment
+RatRunCrew
You can hire from Huntingdon Marine & Leisure in Godmanchester, http://www.waterscape.com/services-directo...ine-and-leisure just about 8 miles away down river, that'll get you a boat on the Great Ouse. There used to be boat hire on the Riverside Park in Town, but that only gets you on the (very small) boating lake, and I havent seen those out for some time. Why not buy a small inflatable dinghy? or see if someone will loan you a kayak or two? or a family canoe ( I seem to remember HM& L having those in their itinery.) If the children are old enough theres always cycling round Grafham Water, with a whole days worth of caches too! Edited July 30, 2010 by Kazim1959 Quote Link to comment
