(I only received the blank copy, not the one with the number). I wrote the vendor and am anticipating a response. Technically, I hope to get the original serialized tag back. But I wouldn't go ballistic if I didn't. Because I have absolutely no patience, I registered the # on the vinyl with the pass-code and it was fine up to this point. IF someday this lost trackable dog tag winds up roaming what choice of action would I have? Thanks, RR Quote Link to comment

Most probably, should anyone attempt to activate them, they would ultimately find out that you already "own" that number and would contact you. After that, your guess is as good as anyone else'. Now about that 'vendor'................... EDIT: AFAIK, there is no 'blank' tag. There are two tags with the same number, one is imprinted with "COPY", which leads me back to: Now about that 'vendor'............. Blank tags exist, I got one when I purchased a vehicle travelbug. It says "Keep me! I am a COPY TAG" and there's a space to write the bug's name/mission, and a space to write it's number. On the other side it is the normal Travelbug logo. Seems to be the way they do it now.. I had the same concern until I read the description at Groundspeak. "This decal is approximately 3.25” x 1.25" and also includes a copy tag that you can write down the code on and keep for your records."
