Create a route of 710 miles

I'm about to drive a 710 mile trip. As the journey will be long as it is, I won't have time to do any serious GCing. However, it would be nice to know if there are any GCs at rest stops or very close to our route. But when I try to create a route, I'm told it doesn't work for routes over 500 miles. Any suggestions? My GPS is a Garmin Nuvi 265WT.

Split the route into 2 parts. That's what I do.

Break it into two logical segments (I thought it only works for 300 miles, but I haven't used it in a while). Maybe you'll be staying the night some place? Then have day one and day two.

Or if you are me, just run two that cuts the thing in about half.

Or if your a GSAK user just split it into two segments and then combine the segments in GSAK.
