+salsaguy Posted June 13, 2010 Share Posted June 13, 2010 (edited) 1) make sure the voice you have chosen in the settings menus is one that actually CAN speak street names. It has to be compatible. Half of them don't and half of them do. Settings (Wrench Icon) / Locale (Lips Icon) and then pick a voice that has "TTS" shown. TTS = Text to Speech No TTS = No Street names just "Turn left in 500 feet" instead of Turn left on Main Stree. 2) Suggestion - Use a mans voice instead of a womans voice since most of the women's are too soft spoken and hard to hear when driving.
