Almost left the gps behind a few times. One time on a hike I found the cache and signed the log, re-hid the ammo can under some rocks, collected my hiking poles, pack, etc. and realized I didn't have the gps. Turns out I threw the gps in the ammo can with the rest of the contents.

How can I change the color of the font when printing out a GSAK database? I've tried tools/options/grid font/color. No matter what color I change it to, it prints in blue. I'm running out of blue ink! Any ideas?

I recently downloaded cachestats, but cant get the stats to paste into my profile at geocaching.com. I've downloaded the pq to cachestats with no problem, and can see the data in cachestats ok. But when I try to export to my profile in GC.com, it comes out as gibberish. When I click export to HTML, then copy to clipboard Cachestats says "make sure you check the box that says your profile is written using html format". I dont see this box anywhere? Where is it?

I installed the Mapsource TOPO U.S. 2008 today. Yes it comes with the Mapsource program. NOT included is Trip and Waypoint Manager. Apparently they are 2 different programs.

Yes, you are correct. I didn't read the fine print. "What the big print giveth, the fine print taketh away." When I bought mine before Christmas, I used the "ship to store" option and got free shipping. Picked it up locally after waiting about a week. I just received the HCx Bundle REI recently had on sale. Their web site says the bundle includes the MapSource Trip And Waypoint Manager DVD. The unit I received did not have this DVD. The TOPO 2008 DVD was in the box, but there should have been 2 DVDs. Was the web site wrong, or could the DVD somehow not got packaged? I would like to hear from others who bought this bundle from REI's recent sale. Did you receive the Trip and Waypoint DVD in addition to the TOPO DVD? Thank you.

I notice on my new nuvi 650, the default setting for WAAS is off. Why is this? Is there a disadvantage to having WAAS on?

Also, the TOPO 2008 included with the bundle comes on DVD. I dont have a dvd on my computer. Can I use a friends computer to copy the dvd to a portable hard drive, then copy it from the portable to my hard drive? Or is the dvd copy protected?

I downloaded the new City Navigator 2009, it took 22 hrs with DSL! How much time should I plan on to install it to a nuvi 650?

I am considering buying the Vista Hcx bundle on sale at REI. The unit would be primarily used for geocaching and hiking. Can someone tell me how much information can be transferred to the Vista from the cache page and/or from GSAK. ie: container type, size, difficulty, hint etc. Thanks!

I recently submitted a new cache, while keeping it unchecked for the reviewer to see. Then I discovered there is already another cache too close by. So, I want to delete this cache all together. How do I do this? Because it has not been "enabled" yet, I can not "disable" it.

I created and downloaded my first pocket query but I cannot open it. When I try to extract the files, it tells me it is password protected. How was a password assigned?How do I open this file?

On the bottom of my yellow Etrex is a small rectangular slot (approx. 1/4 inch) of some kind. It does not seem to be an electronic connection of any kind. The pc and 12 volt connections are on the top of the unit. Cany anyone tell me what this slot is for? Thanks!

I posted a cache as needing first aid, but this cache does not appear on my list of found caches, nor is it included in my count of finds. Is it acceptable to post this cache again as "Found It" in order to get it on my found list?
