I am quite not sure about that. I don't think the iPod doesn't even have a GPS application for installation nor a cable to connect with an external gps.

I might be wrong here, but I think they have a Gps module you can buy, but in the end you want a real gps, because the Ipod (like Iphone) is not working like a gps.

Well sure if you are looking at storing the cache info on it and using your GPS for the find. I know that MacCaching will take PQ's and save them for iPods, GSAK has an iPod macro for Windows users.

you don't need a gps-enabled device for a paperless device if you just wanna use it as cache db. it's just a matter of what software is available. personally i don't know if it's even possible to install any new software on an ipod classic.

I've used my 1st generation iPod nano and it works fine.
