+Berta Nick Zoey Posted May 5, 2010 Posted May 5, 2010 I see where there are a few different Garmin Topo USA maps on Ebay. There is one that is listed as GARMIN 010-11001-01 MAPSOURCE TOPO STATES GPS SOFTWARE and yet another one that is listed as Garmin MapSource TOPO US CD-ROM for Garmin GPS Units, This first one is in a Jewel case that says "United States Topo" and the background color of picture on the front of the case is tan/light brown. The second one is blue and white and says 24K maps. Whats the difference? Quote
+StarBrand Posted May 5, 2010 Posted May 5, 2010 I'd check out the free topo maps at www.gpsfiledepot.com Quote
ao318 Posted May 5, 2010 Posted May 5, 2010 Go to this link for Garmin and follow the directions. It will tell you which maps are compatible with your unit. If it is just Topo Maps that you want, there is a free site called GPSfileDepot.com. There is also another one for rout able maps but can't recall what it is. Good luck. Quote

+Walts Hunting Posted May 5, 2010 Posted May 5, 2010 The US one is 100K resolution and doesn't have business POI's. The other one is 24K (four times the detail), routable and has the same POI's as the CN Navigator. It only covers a few states (should be listed on the cover) and not the whole US. Quote
Forkeye Posted May 6, 2010 Posted May 6, 2010 Make sure it is the latest and greatest if thats what you want.I have Topo USA 100k 2008 and it has no POIs,I am not sure if the current one is newer or not,but it is in a different package. My Topo Canada V4 has POIs which is nice. Quote
