daveindeal Posted May 1, 2010 Share Posted May 1, 2010 THE UK CYCLE CHALLENGE Dover - Wales - Ireland - Scotland -Dover 1200+ Miles, 27 Days* *1 Day off every 4 days so total time = 33 Days 40 - 50 miles per day Tent, Food & All Provisions "In-Tow" The Route Day 1 – Dover to Hastings (44 miles) Day 2 – Hastings to Worthing (47 miles) Day 3 – Worthing to Botley (48 miles) Day 4 – Botley to Boyton (45 miles) Day 5 – Day off Day 6 – Boyton to Chepstow (48 miles) Day 7 – Chepstow to Brecon (45 miles) Day 8 - Brecon to Llanidloes (42 miles) Day 9 – Llanidloes to ganllwyd (40 miles) Day 10 – Day off Day 11 – Ganllwyd to Gwalchmai (50 miles) Day 12 – Gwalchmai to Navan ( 40 miles) (+ 60 miles on ferry) Day 13 – Navan to Newry (45 miles) Day 14 – Newry to cookstown (40 miles) Day 15 – Day off Day 16 – Cookstown to Larne (46 miles) Day 17 – Larne to Maybole (41 miles) (+ 38 miles on Ferry) Day 18 – Maybole to Larkhall (44 miles) Day 19 – Larkhall to Edinburgh (40 miles) Day 20 – Day off Day 21 – Edinburgh to Ale Water (44 miles) Day 22 – Ale Water to Great Swinburne (43 miles) Day 23 – Great Swinburne to Bildershaw (43 miles) Day 24 – Bildershaw to Cross Lanes (47 miles) Day 25 – Day off Day 26 – Cross lanes to Stainforth (43 miles) Day 27– Stainforth to Bracebridge Heath (44 miles) Day 28 Bracebridge Heath to Holbeach (40 miles) Day 29 Holbeach to Barton Mills (47 miles) Day 30– Day off Day 31– Barton Mills to Witham (45 miles) Day 32– Witham to Gravesend (43 miles) (+ 1 mile on Ferry) Day 33 – Gravesend to Dover (49 miles) I am also planning on an event on every day off so all of you guys out there have a chance to meet me, discover me and hope to get a few raffles with coins. I am planning on doing this at the tail end of summer when the weather is still nice but a bit cooler. If anyone whould like to join me on any of the days for a bit your more than welcome.
