need help

Hi , i just bought a 60csx manily for the atv, but i ended up downloading some geocasches on the unit and now i am hooked. When i go out looking i sometimes need the extra help such as the hint i was wondering if anyone could give me simple step by step instruction to get this much needed information to my gps, i am a premium member and i have gsak , but i dont have the knowledge to do this, much needed help.

You can edit the GSAK tags when you upload the info. This controls how your GPSr will display that waypoint. I do not have that GPSr but a friend does and he has it so he can get the hint. You are limited by the number of characters though. I don't know what the 60csx limit is.

*edit to add that he only gets part of the hint sometimes. It looks like the tag is

 

%hint = The decoded hint

You can put the hints in as POI`s using this GSAK macro and Garmins POI Loader.

Run the macro in GSAK and it will create a file, as always know where you are saving the file. Then just run the POI Loader and point it to that file.

 

When you need the hint just hit find/POI and it should be the closes one. I turn everything off except the hint on the macro.

Thanks , i knew it could be done , but wasnt sure how to do it , thank you, i will give it a try hopefully i can get it to work.
