Geocoin Name

It would be nice if when you enter a non-activated Geocoin tracking number that you would get the official name of the coin. This is currently how it is on the Iphone application.

But, if it isn't activated on the website, how is the website going to know what the "official" name of it is?

I believe every coin has a default "official" name associated with the tracking number. Just as the icon for the coin is associated with the tracking number. I think that the default name is the name that it is submitted, when they approve it. If you look at Latest Design you will see that they all have a name. When you activate the coin you can change the name to what you would like your to be called, but it still has a default name.

 

I just would like not to have to use the IPhone when looking up names of unactivated coins. Currently when you enter a unactivated coin in the IPhone it will return with the icon, name and that the coin is unactivated.

Seems to me that if the iPhone app can do it, that it can be done.
