Endura Out Back temporarly freezes

Now that the temps are warming back up we went out geocaching with the new Endura (firmaware 1.3). On more then 1 occasion over the course of 2 days the unit seemed to freeze for several minutes as I approached a cache, say within 100ft no updates to the map or distance no matter how far I moved.

 

Has anyone seen this behavior?

I have the same unit but have not had that issue.Have you updated the unit?

Can't say mine ever actually "freezes" for a few minutes while navigating. The bearing arrow will occasionally show the wrong direction for a few seconds (which from experience with other GPSers is normal) but the distance will continue to update.

That was common with the original firmware on my unit but the latest firmwars seem to have cured this.

 

Did you install 1.1 and then 1.2 and then 1.3 - or just straight to 1.3??

I installed 1.1, 1.2, and finally 1.3. The first time I noticed it I was on firmware version 1.2. That night I updated to 1.3 and still saw the same behavior the next day. When this happens I am able to navigate through the screens to see the sat coverage. So the unit itself is not completely froze.

 

Just a note: I have downloaded imagery maps from MapSelect and put them on a 2TB micro, however at the time of the issue I was only looking at the base maps.
