+Mom-n-Andy
Can anyone give me an idea of how to determine which font is being used in a puzzle cache such as GC1E267? In this case I was able to figure out the font just below the guy being sucked up into the UFO easily enough (the hint provides enough info to use google). The other fonts escape me. I have had some success in going to the various online font repositories, but I usually have to browse through fonts one at a time till I find the one I need. Is there a better way? Yes, I know I could contact the CO. But this is one example of a kind of puzzle I sometimes encounter, and I'm looking for a general resource. Quote Link to comment
knowschad
I do not know if the fonts you are looking for are here, or not, but it is a good resource: Omniglot Quote Link to comment
+bflentje
Anyone can make and publish fonts. So I suggest looking at the font metadata. Quote Link to comment
oakenwood
I presume you want to crack it by finding the font and matching keystrokes to symbols. It looks like some kind of Dingbats to me. There are lots of tem, though. Maybe look for one with "alien", "space", "scifi" or something like that in the name. It's a short sample, but you could try to crack it with frequency analysis. That would make a "manula labour" a birthing that is coached/supervised by a male doula. Quote Link to comment
+Vater_Araignee
SO your looking for an alien warriors font, the kind that like actual blades. A font that related to warriors that mystically stop the travel of light that is (deleted). ok that's enough solving from me. I'll hint, if you don't get the hint you will only accidentally solve this because you will look at the correct font and think it isn't. I assume. After all, if I cant be bothered to solve the puzzles around me, why bother with Florida? No offense intended, I'm just saying I may be wrong. Quote Link to comment
