+The Blorenges
Many geocachers have a watchlist of caches that interest them for one reason or another, caches that they are very unlikely to visit themselves but, nevertheless, they take pleasure from the logs of others who do manange to find them. We watch a selection of caches in distant corners of the world and every so often a log appears that conjures up a great picture. This is one that popped into our In Box just now, from "Yellow fever cache" on Ascension Island. " January 21 by bonkers ballantynes (167 found) Just been to Long Beach to watch the Turtles - only about 20 out at 10 o'clock tonight. Took the photo of Sporty Basil and Marvin (also a turtle) saying hello to a lady Green Turtle just about to lay her eggs. She was probably around 1.2m long. Photo was taken by starlight / moon light, and could not get a good focus lock. Very clear sky, 1/4 moon, one of those "WOW" moments you just don't see in the UK or Europe. Even had to go to One Boat at midnight to get a better view of the clouds of stars forming the milky way. Did not sign the log book this time, as too dark!!! Logging some TB's in and out." Anyone else like to share great logs from distant places? MrsB Edited January 23, 2010 by The Blorenges Quote Link to comment
