+topotracker Posted November 29, 2009 Posted November 29, 2009 Hello - I have a Garmin 60csx and it will only transfer all of the waypoints at a time versus selected ones. It's a pain to have to download all and then delete all the ones you have already downloaded at a prior time. Is there a GPS that will selectively transfer individual waypoints to a computer? If not then what is the easiest way to do this without all of the deleting? Thanks Quote
+IBcrashen Posted November 29, 2009 Posted November 29, 2009 (edited) There is really no way to transfer individual caches to your computer from the gps. Edited November 29, 2009 by IBcrashen Quote
+StarBrand Posted November 29, 2009 Posted November 29, 2009 I am confused?? What exactly are you trying to do? The 60CSx will easily allow you to transfer single waypoints to it via a variety of programs and methods. Quote
+topotracker Posted December 1, 2009 Author Posted December 1, 2009 I'm talking about transferring waypoints "from" the 60csx to a computer. Quote
+topotracker Posted December 1, 2009 Author Posted December 1, 2009 Does this apply to all other gps units or just the Garmin 60 series? Quote
+StarBrand Posted December 1, 2009 Posted December 1, 2009 Maybe if you could be quite specific about what you are trying to accomplish - we could answer much better. Quote
+IBcrashen Posted December 1, 2009 Posted December 1, 2009 Here Starbrand Is there a GPS that will selectively transfer individual waypoints to a computer? If not then what is the easiest way to do this without all of the deleting? Thanks What program are you trying to transfer the waypoint to? If its mapsource run mapsource twice so you have 2 of them running. Transfer the waypoints from the gps to one of them, highlight and copy the waypoint you want and then paste it into the other running mapsource. Quote
+StarBrand Posted December 1, 2009 Posted December 1, 2009 I was assuming that he might be stuck with the idea that he "had to" transfer that single waypoint - I want to try and be more creative in finding a solution to what he is trying to accomplish. As for simple solutions......clear all the waypoints on the 60CSX, mark your spot, transfer to computer - delete waypoint and start again. However that doesn't seem like a very good way either. Quote
gitarmac Posted December 2, 2009 Posted December 2, 2009 Download all the waypoints from the gps select only the one you want then choose "invert selection" delete. Quote
