+doug_11
Hi all, when i try to transfer GPX-Files via the "Send to GPS" button and the installed Communicator Plugin to my Oregon 200 it doesn`t work. There is always the following message: 500 - Internal server error. There is a problem with the resource you are looking for, and it cannot be displayed. It has worked earlier, i already have transferred many files before. But now it doesn`t work anymore. I tried it from different computers, i have installed the Communicator again, no success. Anybody any idea what to do? doug_11 Quote Link to comment

+Curioddity
geocaching.com was down for awhile yesterday while they updated the server software. Perhaps this problem you guys are having is a result of that. When I experience problems with any Groundspeak services I usually check here: http://twitter.com/GoGeocaching. It's the official twitter page for Groundspeak and the boyos behind the scenes keep it up to date. Pete Quote Link to comment

+M&M Mousers
I spent an hour on the phone with Garmin this morning. He did the take over control of my computer thing and checked out everything on my Garmin and my computer with reference to geocaching. He said everything checked out ok, so the problem must be with geocaching.com. He said he'd escalate the problem to his higherups so they could contact geocaching and let them know there's a problem. They have a direct connect of some sort. He was able to download a cache to the unit by going to the cache page, saving it to my desktop as a .loc file, then using my mapsource and downloading it to the unit. It was a pain and a lot of extra steps, but doable if necessary. I downloaded some caches as waypoints last night by entering coordinates manually, but also a pain. Hope they get it up and running soon. Quote Link to comment
+DevinandJay
I tried reinstalling Communicator etc before I read all this of course. same problem here. Communicator reads the device just fine. I am also a premimum member having the same issues so I dont think its an issue of subscription level. I pretty sure at this point its geocaching.com Quote Link to comment
+DevinandJay
I just spoke with Customer Service at Groundspeak and they indicated its a problem on their end. They said due to the sight impact it is a top priority for the developers on their site. She couldnt give an idea of time to fix but indicated they are on it. Hopefully that helps a few folks out. +currykev
...I'm so so bored with GSAK's "nag screens" that I may go down another route. Everyone wants a buck/quid these days. And I'm finding it very tedious, if not insulting, in today's economic climate. Quote Link to comment

On the flip side, a lot of folks want something for free regardless of the amount of work that went into developing an awesome tool. Quote Link to comment
+Haffy
Is everyone using the latest Communicator Plug-in? I used it the other day and got the same error message so I checked and sure enough it wasn't the latest Plug-in. Downloaded the latest plug-in and it worked just fine after that. +Edisto Patto
I just checked and it seems to be working again--did not do anything other than reattach my gps Quote Link to comment
+wkcantab
I continued to get the Error message then went to the Garmin site and downloaded plug-in so then when I saved to gps the message shows that it was saved, but in fact it was not saved. Is this because the format is incorrect or is this a geocaching site issue? Thanks! Quote Link to comment
