+ky.m.guy
Hello everybody, I have completed writing a macro and map file for the FindStatGen GSAK macro. It is an Ontario counties map file (so you can see which counties you have cached in - you can see it demonstrated in my profile). I want to expand the macro to include counties of other provinces but I do not want to take the enormous amount of time that it takes to create the detailed county polygons if they already exist. If anybody has county polygons made up for any provinces/territories other than Ontario, I would be willing to take them and make a GSAK FindStatsGen map for that province and an accompanying macro. The polygons must be contiguous, (meaning that the coordinates of the border of County A must be the same as the coordinates of the border of County B if county A and B were side-by-side.) They should be fairly accurate so that caches near the borders between regions are tagged as being in the correct counties. The file(s) can be in CSV format, KML format or XLS format. If you have them in another format, please send them to me anyway and I can attempt to convert them. You can email them to cacherky.m.guy [-at-] gmail [-dot-] com and I can see if they are what I need to to make up the maps Thank-you and have fun caching everybody!, Kyle Mills Quote Link to comment
+TrimblesTrek
Wow. That's a load of information. I think I'm at the other end of the spectrum. I don't really care about all the stats. If I find tupperware in the woods, I'm happy. If I find a film canister, I'm not happy. If I'm walking on a dirt trail, I'm happy. If I'm in a mall parking lot, I'm not happy. In any case, I may choose to log the find, or I may choose not to. Because of this, I'm un-stat-able I guess. Quote Link to comment

Back on topic: Hats off to Kyle for all the work and for offering to extend it nationwide. Quote Link to comment
+Landsharkz
This being available would mean we'd have the same stats for Canadian Provinces as we currently have for US states? I was in Stats before my current 'job' so this does interest me. Thanks for doing this if you can pull it off! Helen Quote Link to comment
+ky.m.guy
If I can get the polygon data I can fairly easily make this up. If not, I am probably not going to spend the time making it up as it is very time consuming to do so and I don't have the patience Quote Link to comment

+ky.m.guy
Goldsy has completed NS, check out my profile page Thanks...That makes one province that I don't have to do. Yay! I still need all provinces/Territories except Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Ontario. I very much appreciate it, Kyle Quote Link to comment
