switchback166
Has anyone had trouble downloading state archives? When I log in to http://www.ngs.noaa.gov/cgi-bin/ds_archive.prl and get the list of states and choose Pennsylvania, I get an error message "SORRY - Currently no data exists for". I have tried for nearly a week and get the same message. Am I doing something wrong (I've done this before) or are the state archives database out of order? I'd hate to go in and download individual datasheets. Quote Link to comment
+Black Dog Trackers
Hi switchback166, Get NGS state files from here. I think the archive URL is no longer used. Quote Link to comment
topflitejr1
BD Trackers, What would be the correct 2 letter code for California? I don't see a CA.ZIP. Quote Link to comment
+Black Dog Trackers
Hmmm, that's creepy. I guess you could write the webmaster. Alternatively, there is one here. A few months old, but not so bad. Quote Link to comment
switchback166
Thanks Black Dog, I'll give yours a try. It's been awhile since I downloaded from the archive and I did like the old way where you could select by county within the state. There are parts of my state I probably never will get to search so I may not want data sheets for those counties. Thanks again for the new url. Quote Link to comment

Wintertime
Weird/creepy/prophetic...? Does the NGS know something we don't? Klemmer, get out of there! At least I'm on the eastern side of the San Andreas Fault, so I get to stay with the rest of the continent... Patty Quote Link to comment
topflitejr1
Thanks BD Trackers. It so happens that I live right next to the San Andreas Fault. I was able to dodge the '94 quake AND the recent wildfires. Quote Link to comment
+Klemmer
Thanks for the heads up, AZcachemeister. We keep some Boogey Boards and rafts handy in the garage. Also, both my Jeep and TeddyBearMama's car have those neat window-breaker hammers within arms reach of the driver at all times (true!) But after the Big One, you will have ocean front property, right? And then you can help NGS convert many Arizona vertical control marks to Tidal Benchmarks. Quote Link to comment
+LSUFan
I use Jim's webpage to get county (or parish in my case) datasheets. http://www.holoscenes.com/special/geocac/ds_archive.html Quote Link to comment

Is there a Je on there? Maybe there has been a vote we didn't hear about and the State of Jefferson is now a reality. Quote Link to comment
