Coopdog AKA Dockdog
How long should I wait before contacting the person that picked up my first travel bug. This is my first one and I took it to New York so it could get a good start. It was picked up and logged the next day and the cacher said he would be dropping it in North Carolina after his vacation. It has been almost a month and nothing. What should I do? Thanks for the input. Quote Link to comment
Gitchee-Gummee
Hard to say really. I would suggest a little more time. He/she may not have immediate access to log in w/computer (on foot hiking, etc.) Quote Link to comment
BlueDeuce
I wouldn't even consider contact a finder for a good three months. Seems like a really long time but that's just what happens with bugs sometimes. Quote Link to comment
Coopdog AKA Dockdog
Well, I guess I'll just have to wait it out. Thanks. Quote Link to comment
WRASTRO
I personally think a month is long enough if the cacher has been active on the site. I have been known to send a nice email thanking the cacher for picking up my bug/coin and asking if they will be able to move it along in the near future. I haven't had anyone take offense yet as far as I know. I often get a thanks for the reminder response. Quote Link to comment
