+teamhaynes
Being a Science Teacher (middle school 6-8th grade) one of the coin types I collect is science related coins. I just got a Colorado 2007 (ordered from ebay) and was surprised to see the Fossil Stegosaurus on the back (the state fossil) Anyway... that got me thinking.. are there any other coins out there with fossils on them? I know of only the following: The Colorado 2007 The Ammonite and Triolbites from Tethys Any others??? Quote Link to comment
+drneal
There's Stargeezer, but I'm not sure that's the type of fossil you're looking for . Toft's Hedgehopper comes close. ILYK Quote Link to comment

+CacheHunters42
We are currently developing GeoFossils™. There will be two types of coins, one displaying the fossil as though it is sitting on a stone, the other will be hidden under a translucent enamel. They should be avaiable in September 2009. aniyn
Landsharkz made a trilobite geocoin this year. Those were the Tethys C coins. He did a set of 4 fossil ammonites before that as well. Check the bottom of this page Edited July 18, 2009 by aniyn Quote Link to comment

I used to have one sitting on my desk... I passed it around the class and even used it as a hall pass. After a few weeks of the kids bugging me about what it was out came the poem... A hundred million years ago A Dinosaur felt the urge to go.. It strained with all its might and out popped this coprolite. The look on their faces was great... Quote Link to comment
