OkieHunter
Surely, this has been asked and answered, but I can't find it. We're getting ready to go on vacation and I'd like to have a few caches on the GPS to find while there. How do I ask Geocaching.com to list caches around some distant point? Is this a premium member only option? Any help appreciated. OkieHunter OKC, OK Quote Link to comment
mdplayers
do you know the zipcode of the city/town you will be visiting? If yes, enter that in the appropriate field on the Hide and Seek page (http://www.geocaching.com/seek/) of the Geocaching.com website. If you don't know the zipcode, try entering appropriate keywords in the 'by Address' field on that page. Like the name of a popular attraction, state park, name of a town or city. +SkellyCA
without doing a PQ, just zoom out on the map, move to where you're going and zoom back in Quote Link to comment
OkieHunter
Thanks. I had never paid attention to the Google Maps link. It is great. I knew there had to be a way to do this. Thanks for the quick replies. OkieHunter Quote Link to comment
solo63137
We went to St. pete Beach in Florida right at teh end of spring... I went to the map and put in the address of the hotel we were staying at and there were 10 in a 1/2 radius... One of them was even on the hotel property... I think I found 6 of the 10 I went looking for... Quote Link to comment
SkellyCA
Great! I went to Florida earlier this month and did 2 PQ's. One centering on Disney World and one centering on the house we rented. both a 10 mile radius. Works out great Quote Link to comment
