hi just a question to those of you who cache with friends/relies/who eva.

iv been and found a couple of caches by my self and loged finding them here (still have a few more to log found), then today i went caching with a friend who really enjoyed them self and will most likely go again. im just trying to work out how those of you who cache with friends/family log your finds. log them on your own account if you go alone? log them on a joint account you you go together? if you go out together log them on both accounts? just trying to work out how the pros do it :)

I have one account. My wife has her own and all of my geocaching friends have their own accounts. When we go out together we all log on our own accounts.

Having separate accounts for when you go alone and when you go with others seems to be an unnecessary complication to me.

Separate accounts.

Whenever I cache with someone who doesn't yet have an account I always put their first name (or nickname) in the logbook next to my username. That way if they decide to get their own account there's less worry about getting to claim those pre-account finds.

I always cache with my beloved so we share an account and I log for both of us.

However, if I were caching with someone else, I would help them set up their own account so that they could log their own finds. In my log I might mention that they were with us when we found the cache, but I write lengthy logs anyway.
