hoagies
I've got a bunch of geocoins, and I've carried them from cache to cache at home, and I'd like to log them so that they start out at home. I'm told this is called "dipping." But... I went to the log visit feature, and I went to the log trackable feature, and I can't figure out how to log that this trackable has visited but not stayed at this cache. Can anyone fill in the blanks? Thanks! the hoagies Quote Link to comment
StarBrand
Log that you dropped it. Log that you picked it up. Some cachers have requested a "dipping" function to do it in one pass but that has not been implemented. Quote Link to comment
BlueDeuce
Yep. Just post a note on the cache (assuming you have found the cache before) and select the coins to be dropped. Then access the coin and do a Retrieve. Quote Link to comment
Jeep4two
If you perform this logging function at home and in the nude, then it is skinny dipping... Try to avoid skinny dipping your coins at public Internet cafe's, public library terminals, or while driving. **Puts on "Coed Naked Geocoin Dipping" T-shirt** Couldn't resist... Quote Link to comment
Knight2000
Yep. Just post a note on the cache (assuming you have found the cache before) and select the coins to be dropped. Then access the coin and do a Retrieve. Many people like if you delete your note which says "Bug droppings" or similar. Quote Link to comment
ZenRVers
Make sure to put "dipping" in your drop log even if you delete it right away as the log will be emailed to the cache owner. Quote Link to comment
