+FatPants
I am currently using the standard old etrex legend, and i like it, however it takes soooooo long to draw maps that it is painful.I have been considering upgrading to the LegendHCx, but I would like to know of it will draw maps any faster than the regular legend? +StarBrand
Yes - I went from 'ol blue to the HCx - BIG difference. Quote Link to comment
+ewerts
I too went from the blue Legend to the Legend HCx, and couldn't be happier. The biggest improvement for me was the receiver sensitivity; I can now get satellite signals where I couldn't before, even in my house. Oh yeah, the colour screen is nice as well. I just bought one - I am having difficulty downloading geocaches from geocaching.com to my gps Legend HC. Any suggestions? Quote Link to comment
+StarBrand
Download the latest copy of EasyGPS. Select the Legend HCx in the preferences. Make sure the Garmin USB driver is installed. Load a GPX file into EasyGPS. Select Send to GPS while the eTrex is hooked to a USB port and is turned on. Optional: select friendly names and send hints as well. Go Caching. Quote Link to comment
