+Styk
Asked a question regarding software upgrade to provide this functionality and got this response. KnowledgeBase: garmin Subject: all tracks are black Message Body: It doesn't appear that i can change the color of my tracks., I can with my Legend Hcx and my GPSMAP 60 Cx but not on my Colorado. I have been waiting for a software update for over a year to address this shortcoming. I understand this feature has been available to Oregon owners since shortly after it's release. Thank you for contacting Garmin International. You can change the color of your active log here: Main Menu > Tracks > Setup > Color. Also, you can change the color of any saved track and have it show on the map: Main Menu > Tracks > Enter on saved track > Color/Show On Map. I hope this helps. +DavidMac
He doesn't explicitly say that he's referring to the Colorado. Are you sure that he didn't provide those instructions for the Oregon? For as long as I've been using the CO, I've been able to use any color for the track log, so long as it's black . Hey, black is a color. Quote Link to comment
+Tequila
You can change track colors in the Oregon but not the Colorado. Quote Link to comment
+g-o-cashers
Given that tech support is referencing "Main Menu" I would say he is confused between the OR and CO. The CO does not support different colors for saved tracks. Quote Link to comment
+Timpat
See, even Garmin tech support forgets they make the Colorado! Little wonder no updates have been coming!! Quote Link to comment
sanramonhunter
Hey, black is a color. Actually black is just the absence of light. Quote Link to comment
+WRWhizard
Hey! I just got an Oregon 400 and if there's a way to change the track color, I haven't found it and I've looked. Quote Link to comment
stevensj2
Actually black is just the absence of light. Or a full-throttle mixture of cyan, magenta, and yellow Quote Link to comment

Make sure you are on firmware 2.97Beta The feature has been around since day one on the Oregon, it is in Track Manager > [select a track] > Set Color > [select color] > Show on Map. You cannot change the color of the Oregon track log -- just the saved tracks. Quote Link to comment
