+Fjon Posted May 11, 2009 Posted May 11, 2009 I'll be coming over from Ireland to Springfield, OR for a week for work. I'll probably have most evenings off, so wouldn't mind doing a bit of caching. Can anyone recommend any nice areas which have clusters of caches nearby? Ideally I'm looking for caches in parks or the like, rather than urban caches. Also, because I'll only have a few hours of daylight I would rather not have to drive too far in order to reach them. Are there any unmissable caches nearby? There do seem to be some excellent caches that require a bit of a journey (covered bridges, Hell Hole etc), but I may have to leave those for my next visit. Thanks for the help! Quote
+LandRover Posted May 11, 2009 Posted May 11, 2009 You might want to check out this thread, there's even a link in one of the posts to the Emerald Valley Cachers web site where you could probably get lots of good information. Quote

Thanks for the help! Thank you! I did read that thread and got some ideas from it. It kinda concentrates on trips which require a bit of a drive from Eugene though, so it wasn't really ideal. I've signed up to the Emerald Valley website and am patiently awaiting for my account to be activated. Still if anyone has any info here it would be appreciated too! Quote

I'll activate your EVC account in a moment. When will you be coming? Would you be interested in a meet and greet event if there is enough time to plan one? Quote
+Fjon Posted May 11, 2009 Author Posted May 11, 2009 Thank you - I've posted this in the EVC forum too. I'm coming over next week, so it may be a bit soon for an event, but I really appreciate the offer. I also am not sure what days I would actually be able to attend. Quote
