oregon 400 topo maps?

I know that that the 400 comes pre loaded with topo maps, but my question is can you view those maps on your computor? I'm thinking if not, than the 300 and extra software may be a better purchase for me. If I'm reading it right, the only difference is the pre load topo maps. Opinions???

For very good free maps

You CANNOT load the complete map of Topo US 2008 on an Oregon 300 due to map segment limit. An Oregon 400t accommodates all Topo US 2008 v.2 and City Navigator North America NT 2009. You can also buy a microSD card and put a 3rd map on it. If you want to load many maps, the 400t is the best option.
