TB placement

Yesterday i retrieved a TB from a cache, and today placed in another, but i could not log the new placement, the only options seem to have been write note or discovered it, i am obviously doing something wrong, can anyone please give me some advice! thanks.

Assuming that you've picked up the TB from the original cache it was in, i.e. retrieved it from that cache on-line so that it's now showing as 'in your hands'...

 

To drop it off into a cache:

 

Go to the cache page for wherever you need to drop it

 

Click on log your visit (top right)

 

Either:

 

If you want to log the cache as "Found it" and drop the TB into the cache all in the same action select "Found it" from the drop-down.

 

or

 

If you have already done a "Found it" log and simply want to virtually drop the TB into the cache select "Write note" from the drop-down.

 

then

 

Write whatever comments into the Comments box.

 

Underneath the Comments box there's another box marked "Dropped off any travel bugs?". This should show every TB or geocoin that you currently hold 'in your hands'. Click to highlight whichever one you need to drop into the cache.

 

Then click "Submit log entry".

 

This puts your log (either a "found it" or a "note") onto the cache page and also drops the trackable item into the cache, so that it shows on the cache listing.
