I have Mapsource Topo maps on my laptop and my gps receiver talking to the laptop. Mapsource will identify the correct receiver and indicate it is connected but it will not show the flashing icon on the map. +JPatton Posted November 21, 2008 Share Posted November 21, 2008 What version of Mapsource do you have? Several years ago (I think) Garmin removed the GPS tracking feature from Mapsource. You can download Nroute from their website to show your current position on the maps. Quote Link to comment

Found the same cure.. upgraded the Mapsource version but with a older release that still supports the real time tracking.
