Basically, what Totem Lake said. You can buy another unlock code, but the Garmin end user license agreement says: "Your MapSource coupon or registration code is valid for use with your own Garmin GPS unit. This agreement provides a one-user license, and it is illegal to share this data with others. If you would like to obtain additional regions or utilize more than one Garmin GPS unit you own, you will need to purchase another code for each unit." Quote Link to comment
+outofdoors
so basically i will spend another 100 bones to use something he already bought? Thats not so cool. Quote Link to comment
Motorcycle_Mama
What he bought only had a single unlock code which has apparently already been used. You would need to purchase a another copy for your use. You wouldn't have any software rights to load software that he purchased anyway. Quote Link to comment
csacsa
When I bought my Nuvi 750 it came with CN 2008 and I was able to put that software on my desktop and laptop. When I did the free upgrade to 2009 it only downloaded to my laptop. Is there a way i can put the CN 2009 on my desk top with out ordering a disk? Quote Link to comment

You have to factor that in when you buy your GPS and software now. For 100 bucks you get a map that can't ever be used again on any other GPS. The same map used to be 100 bucks and usable on two GPSs. Quote Link to comment
