PuppyPack
I've been geocaching on and off for about 5 years, but most of the caches seem to involve a leisurely stroll along a clearly marked path, and then two hours of rooting around on an Easter egg hunt trying to find the cache. Are there any caches around here that are the opposite? I'm looking for something where it is difficult to get to the cache but easy to spot it once you get there. I guess that would be Difficulty 1 Terrain 5 by the rating system. I have excellent orienteering and outdoor skills, and reasonable climbing skills. Looking for something that will give me a challenge. Any help or pointers appreciated! Quote Link to comment
+jtbrady01
You can run a PQ to find this out. Looks like the closest one is about 73 miles away. Even though I didn't see a Difficulty 1 cache. Here's all the Terrain 5 caches within 100 miles of St. Louis. GC1FGCB GC1FHKE GCGT0N GC8921 GCCE0F GCYE82 The first and last one's have the lowest Terrain ratings. Quote Link to comment
+webscouter.
Check out the cacher Myotis. Most of his caches involve a little more work. In particular look for Myotis 100 and the Proffitt mountain cache Quote Link to comment
