is there a way to delete multiple waypoints at a time from the Garman Vista HCX?

Guessing its the same as my Vista C, go to the trip screen, press and hold the left button and you get the option to reset values including delete all waypoints.

I Delete by Symbol using the Menu button when I am on the Find Waypoints or Find Geocaches screen. If I ever create a waypoint in the field that I want to keep, I give it a different icon from the Treasure Chest or Open Treasure Chest, and the other icons GSAK uses for "Child Waypoints," since those are the ones I delete before loading the GPSr with a fresh set.

Go into the menu screen, select either waypoints or geocaches, push the menu button again, select delete from the drop down menu. The next drop down menu will give you the option to delete all, found or un-found.
