  1. Have you heard why this is happening and when it will be fixed? I'm leaving the state to go caching and can not down load my caches.
  2. My GPS is connected - when I select send to GPS from the Cache page the popup identifies the GPS and says that it is send. However nothing is appearing on my GPS. Hummm This is new Could this be a realease issue?

  4. Oak, sumac, PI, it doesn't matter. It's the same substance that cause the allergic reaction, urushiol. Many immune people do eventually become allergic. I was immune to poison ivy until I was in my mid 20's. I could roll naked in the stuff and not have a reaction. Then one day... Oh the visual image......
  5. Your suggestions are great! We live in northern California and Mom (me) is an obsessed geocacher. I've always loved the Lake district and know my kids (even the little one) can handle 2 to 4 hours of hiking. If we can find villages with a place to crash that are every 3 or so hours apart and we remain flexable I think we can do it.
  6. I've just started going paperless a month ago and found I want more, more, more! I'm having trouble figuring out how to upload found results from Cachemate to GSAK and then to geocaching.com. And how to format the GSAK download to my Vista HCX so that I can reference both my Palm and the Vista by the cache code (number). Also, if you are working on a multiple that requires finding answers to questions, how can you prevent it from being overwritten or replaced in GSAK or Cachemate?
  7. Go into the menu screen, select either waypoints or geocaches, push the menu button again, select delete from the drop down menu. The next drop down menu will give you the option to delete all, found or un-found. Good luck!
  8. My husband and I want to bring our kids to the Lake District next year and hike/cache from town to town for about three days. Our kids are young 8 & 3 so distance will be a factor. Do you know anyone who can help us plan this trip?
  9. We just started caching in September with a 2 1/2 year old and a 7 year old. The kids love to "treasure" hunt. Starting early in the morning works best for us and being realistic about the number of caches you can get to before nap time. We try to stick to regular sized caches because the "toys" are usually better. Sometimes it's hard. Today we found a cache that was on top of this huge hill that had a 60 degree incline. my husband carried the baby all of the way up Yippes! Good luck and happy caching!
