beertownbill Posted July 11, 2008 Posted July 11, 2008 Long story short....my PC imploded and I had to get a new Dell. It runs on Windows Vista rather than XP rendering my Palm V useless until I can find a new driver for the PalmConnect USB-Serial cable, which I am not sure exists. Where can I find a 9-pin to USB cable that will work with my Palm and get me back in the game? Paperless is the only way to go...and I am grounded until I sort this out. Help!! Quote
storm180 Posted July 11, 2008 Posted July 11, 2008 Check ebay. They have a ton of them really cheap. http://search.ebay.com/search/search.dll?f...&category0= Quote
hlq Posted July 11, 2008 Posted July 11, 2008 From this page you should be able to find the right desktop and hot sync manager if there is one. http://www.palm.com/us/support/downloads/win_desktop.html As far as the adapter google "9-pin to USB cable" and you will get a lot of options. Quote
ferventkids Posted July 11, 2008 Posted July 11, 2008 I got a Belkin usb to rs232 unit from Office depot, which works great with vista. I have had zero issues. Some of the cheaper ones have had issues with vista I am using a palm 3 (one step newer than an abacus ;-) Quote
beertownbill Posted July 12, 2008 Author Posted July 12, 2008 Does anyone know if PalmDesktop 4.1.4 with one of these suggested cables will work under Vista? Quote
