+kirgy9
Hey, I was wondering...can you buy a travel bug, write the number onto something you've made, like a coin, then use that for tracking? Would people get funny about that, or is there some crazy law im breaking? Any help would be brilliant - Kirgy9 Quote Link to comment

+Eartha
People have put the tracking numbers on their cars, have had themselves tattooed, put them on T-shirts, hand made items, there are all kinds of ways to use the number. Just be aware of the fact that if you put it on something and place it into a cache, the person who picks it up will have to recognize that it is a Travel Bug, before they will log it, and it could end up in the hands of someone, or someone's kid, that doesn't know it's a TB. People know a TB tag when they see it in a cache. They won't know a handmade item unless they look carefully. Yes it can be done. If it does go missing, you'll still have the original tag and the copy tag. If it goes missing, don't send out more than one, and wait to send out the second until you know for sure the first one is really missing. Usually, the tag is attached to whatever item is being sent out. The tag rarely travels alone. Quote Link to comment
