+powercatjeffy
I've got an etrex legend, which I like. It does appear that it is on its last legs. There are lines across it sporadically and the button is behaving poorly. I think it fits the perfect definition of a back-up model. Now I'm looking for the best replacement. I'm somewhat partial to Garmin, but not limited. I just prefer to support an in-state business if possible. I'd like to stay in the $200-$300 range, but again, that is flexible. I've read not-so-glowing reports about the Colorado. Where should I go from here? Quote Link to comment
+Dryphter
60csx is within that price range and is Garmin's other feature packed unit. Other's on the forums are reporting good things about the eTrex HCX models. Also, the Colorado's are outside the price range you have stated. Quote Link to comment
+briansnat
With that amount to spend I'd go with the 60CSX or the Vista HCX. Quote Link to comment
+Miragee
I recommend the Vista HCx. It is a compact size for hiking and caching, but has nearly all the features of the larger, more-expensive 60CSx. Quote Link to comment
