+qlenfg Posted June 3, 2008 Share Posted June 3, 2008 2.50 is apparently what Garmin is shipping on new and repaired units. 2.51 beta is the current download on their site. Might look to see if they have a change log that lists the fixes and improvements. Quote Link to comment

I've talked to several people who have 2.50 and it does have the Garmin Spanner support which was a feature added in 2.51 as well. There is no information about 2.50 on Garmin's site. GO$Rs Is it just me or do you guys find it odd that there is no info about 2.50 on the website, and also that when you use the webupdater, that it doesn't download and install 2.50? I mean I can understand webupdater not grabbing 2.51, since it is a beta release afterall. But if 2.50 is what is being shipped in all the new units, then why wouldn't Garmin want to make it so that webupdater will install that onto the units that the earlier customers bought? Doesn't the fact that Garmin is shipping 2.50 with new units imply that it is a "stable", released (not beta) version? Just wondering... George Quote Link to comment
