+hammockhanger
I will be hiking/ walking the camino de Santiago this coming fall. Two of us are into geocaching. I was wondering if there might be caches along the route?? Also, will an American GPS system work there?? Is a golbal position system equal world wide?? Hammock Hanger Quote Link to comment
bandido_andarin
Good evening. As you well say GPS is a global positioning system and therefore works to Perfection is Spain. The road to Santiago has several ways to do this, although I suppose you are referring to the most famous of them is that the "French Way." If there are some caches near the road. I think the easiest thing is that you study the track of the road you can download it from here: http://www.montore.net/camino/GPS/ A greeting and track. Quote Link to comment
+J_Rover
.../... I was wondering if there might be caches along the route?? Also, will an American GPS system work there?? .../... Ha ha ha ha. I beg your pardon but that is the typical question of an American people. Our companion Bandido_Andarin has given you the answer: Yes, a global positioning system works anywhere in the world. Another question is that you would have to obtain some local cartography, haven't you? And, in the environs of the Camino de Santiago, it must be dozens of caches ... Good luck and good hunting!
